EGR Cooler Testing

Testing of returned EGR Coolers from the field shows increased trends of No Trouble Found (NTF).

One common denominator in claims analysis is the observation of narratives such as “Coolant
leaks” which is correlated to the presence of liquid or wetness in the EGR Cooler during
inspection. However, this liquid or wetness presence can be tied to water as a byproduct of the
combustion process and that can be an important contributor to NTF.
